It is one of our goals to seek ways we can continue to break down barriers and access to those who professionally work or enjoy the outdoors. When it comes to items for field work like clothing or equipment, or recreational items like hiking boots or binoculars, it is a privilege to be able to afford and access this gear. Therefore, consider donating to Field Inclusive’s Field Gear Closet so that your item(s) have a chance to go to those in need.
Conference Appearance’s
Our workshops will be given by representatives of Field Inclusive (FI), a new nonprofit dedicated to helping prioritize social field safety both on an individual and institutional level.

Help us continue to work towards more inclusivity in the natural sciences and outdoors by:
- Becoming familiar with social field safety issues and concerns;
- Sharing and using resources for a more inclusive work environment such as Codes of Conduct and Guidelines for attracting Diverse Applicants;
- Become an official Field Inclusive Member;
- Supporting research experiences or conference/travel/workshop/trainings for minorities through a partnership or sponsorship;
- Supporting programs such as our Beginning Birders Program, hosted at our local park right in the heart of an underserved community;
