FI Travel Award Applications Open for Fall 2023

Field Inclusive has opened and continues to seek applications for the Fall 2023 travel award with a deadline of July 31. Wilson Ornithological Society (WOS) is sponsoring the award.

One Field Inclusive Travel Award ($2000) will be awarded to a student (undergraduate, masters, doctoral, or postdoc), to help attend a scientific conference, training, or workshop taking place in the Fall 2023 year.

“I’m so glad that with the help of WOS, we are able to offer this travel award to help offset the severe financial expenses that end up falling on students just to attend some conferences,” says Lauren D. Pharr, Field Inclusive CEO and co-founder.

As a part of requirements by the sponsor, the student must either be: 1) presenting bird-focused research, 2) attending a bird focused conference, or 3) participating in a bird-focused workshop.

Completed applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday July 31, 2023. Apply through the google form, here. Requirements include a a one page essay to include a DEI statement, as well as noting financial need.
