Wilson Ornithological Society’s s continued sponsorship continues to show their commitment to marginalized and historically excluded researchers who professionally work outdoors, allowing FI to have a further reach when providing support for minorities, as well as resources and programming to organizations and institutions who are committed to providing more inclusive experiences in the natural sciences.
Field Inclusive (FI) is proud to announce our continued sponsorship with Wilson Ornithological Society (WOS). Based at the Museum of Zoology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, United States, this is WOS’s 2nd year as a corporate sponsor of FI. WOS is an international scientific society comprising community members who share a curiosity about birds. Gifting FI with $4,000 for the 2nd year, WOS has provided funds to support FI’s Summer joint fellowship with Cape Fear Bird Observatory, as well as a travel award.
WOS is committed to providing mentorship to both professional and amateur ornithologists through the sponsorship of research, teaching, and conservation.
“We are excited about this continued sponsorship and partnership with WOS” says Lauren D. Pharr, Field Inclusive co-founder and CFO. “Their dedication to helping us promote and provide more education opportunities and a more inclusive outdoors is both promising and exciting.”
Special thanks to: Tim O’Connell, past president of WOS for his dedication in making sure this partnership continues.
