Grace Albertson (she/her) has joined Field Inclusive as our new Social Media and Communications Intern. Based in Raleigh, NC, she will manage our social media presence and communications and will help Field Inclusive with growing demands for our services, partnership, and engagement. Grace will have the opportunity to learn and enhance her communications and program facilitation skills and experience including program coordination, public speaking and leadership, public education and outreach, administration, communications through various media with diverse audiences, and more.

Pursuing a B.S. in Applied Zoology at North Carolina State an originally from Thomasville, North Carolina, Grace began her studies on the Pre-Vet track but discovered her passion for public engagement, education, and outreach during her internship as a Public Science Events Intern at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. That experience inspired her to shift her focus, and she is now working toward her Environmental Education Certification, aiming to bridge the gap between people and nature in her career. Outside of academics, Grace works as a Community Assistant (CA) for NC State University Housing and is an active member of the Power Sound of the South Marching Band, where she plays mellophone.

She is also passionate about environmental justice and making the outdoors an inclusive space for all.

“We are pleased to have Grace join our team,” says Lauren D. Pharr, Field Inclusive CFO and co-founder. “She will be a great resource to Field Inclusive as we work to develop more resources and offer more opportunities and outreach to advocate for and address social field safety issues and concerns.”
