Frontiers in Ornithology (FIO) have selected Field Inclusive (FI) as a recipient of their Bill Stewart Frontiers Fund for 2023.

All revenue generated through FIO’s symposium registration, sponsorships and donated funds are used directly to offset the cost of hosting and conducting their Frontiers in Ornithology Symposium. Aside from funding general operating expenses and the development of future Frontiers symposiums and field institutes, excess funds are divided among selected organizations that support young conservationist initiatives via the Bill Stewart Frontiers Fund. Each program received a portion of the Fund based on the final vote by attendees.

“The Frontiers in Ornithology Association wants to create opportunities for young people to find successful and fulfilling careers in conservation science,” says Mary Therese, Frontiers in Ornithology Founder, Symposium Co-chair, and Treasurer.  “This includes supporting like-minded organizations through the Bill Stewart Frontiers Fund.  Nominees are selected based on their commitment to provide development opportunities, promote inclusivity, and remove barriers for students interested in pursuing a future in the natural sciences.  What makes this award special, is that symposium participants are the ones that vote for the selected organizations.  Field Inclusive’s work certainly aligns with our mission and we are happy to support their efforts.“

The award, in the amount of $300, will be used to support student conservation programs and opportunities.
