Wake Audubon
Raleigh, NC
Wake Audubon has partnered with Field Inclusive to offer a Beginning Birders Program which is being catered to all ages and socioeconomic groups, in an area with considerable racial diversity. Our ambitious goal would be that success with such a program could lead to similar programs at other parks or nature centers. Items like binoculars, field guides, and any bird friendly/nature activities for goody bags would be greatly appreciated. Learn More.

Wilmington, NC
Cape Fear Bird Observatory has partnered with Field Inclusive to offer a bird banding fellowship opportunity for summer 2023. Skills that will be gained include point count and banding experience on six sites from Wilmington to Sunset Beach. In line with the goals of Field Inclusive, we strongly encourage nominations of individuals with marginalized and historically excluded identities whose institutions have limited capacity to provide field opportunities, such as small HBCUs, MSIs, and Tribal Colleges. We thank our sponsors of this fellowship, Cape Fear Bird Observatory and Wilson Ornithological Society.
North Carolina State University
College of Natural Resources
Raleigh, NC
NCSU’s College of Natural Resources has partnered with Field Inclusive for this year’s 2023 Crowdfunding project: CNR Field Safety Gear. This project will help to raise money for field safety gear (car magnets, visors, personalized ID badges, field vests–all housed with our colleges logo (right)) for students who are completing field work in CNR. The goal is for this gear to provide an extra barrier of safety for our researchers who feel that they may need it while working in the outdoors in high-risk areas. Templates of these items will also be available to other colleges at NCSU, as well as other institutions and organizations to use.
Field Inclusive is continuing to look for sponsors for workshops, trainings, and opportunities for individuals to gain field experiences. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to visit our sponsorship page and contact us (fieldinclusive@gmail.com) for more information.
