Workshops

Learning and being aware of various social field safety issues that could arise for people who professionally work outdoors — but more specifically — for marginalized and historically excluded individuals is our goal.

Please plan to contact us at least three months in advance to schedule a Field Inclusive workshop. This ensures ample time for coordination and preparation.

We do not record workshops to ensure a safe and inclusive environment, as sensitive topics may be discussed.

Yes, current registration is capped at 50 participants to ensure an engaging and interactive experience. However, we are open to discussing options for increasing attendance.

Please fill out the intake form here and we can discuss pricing once we review your request.

We can handle promotions/advertising, registration-related tasks, and post-event communications, including the Field Inclusive survey, for an additional fee. However, if your organization prefers to manage these aspects independently, there is no additional cost.

For online event hosting, we can manage virtual-related tasks, including registration, as part of the additional fee mentioned in the previous question. However, for in-person events, reserving a venue will be the responsibility of the hosting organization.

  • 15-minute email inquiries – No payment is required upfront.
  • 1-hour discovery consultation – A deposit is due in advance. (Timeframe for deposit requirement to be determined.)
  • Workshops, presentations, and other services – Payment details, including deposit requirements and final payment deadlines, will be outlined in your service agreement.

We accept payment via credit card, ACH transfer or check. We will discuss payment arrangements before we send you your service agreement.

Workshop materials may not be shared. However, if you would like brochures to distribute to interested clients, we can provide them for an additional fee. Alternatively, you can direct individuals to our workshop page on our website and our resource page for more information.

Currently, participants in this workshop will be able to earn 1.5 CEUs in Category I of the Certified Wildlife Biologist®/Professional Development Certificate Program for The Wildlife Society. One CEU can be earned for every hour of learning.

We currently offer a few different options for individuals to take our workshop:

  1. Member – Only Workshops: Becoming a member of our organization qualifies you to be able to attend our social field safety workshops (for free) which we hold for members throughout the year.
  2. Online Training Module: We are currently working on developing a social field safety online training module. This module will be open to any individual or group who would like to learn about ways to be more inclusive and become more aware of social field safety issues by being exposed to real-life stories, scenarios, and other interactive activities. Development of this module is set to be complete by January 2025. FI members will be the first to gain access, before it is released to the public.
  3. Conference Workshops: We also travel to various conferences throughout the year and offer this workshop to conference attendees. Usually attendance to take this workshop is free, unless otherwise noted. Please see below for a list of conferences we will be attending this year.
